Company Profile
Fauj owns 60+ enterprises, some very large corporations and some small unincorporated business ventures. We plan to document all these businesses. Our source is publicly available and verifiable information. We are peace-loving, passionate Pakistanis, working for the betterment of the country.
1. Company Overview
Askari Enterprises (Pvt) Limited (AE) is a private limited trading company and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Army Welfare Trust (AWT), the Pakistan Army-run conglomerate also known as the Askari Group (Askari Enterprises; Army Welfare Trust, Wikipedia).
AE was established in November 2009 to fill a gap in Pakistan’s military and general trading business, and it has since become an integral part of AWT’s commercial portfolio, positioning itself as one of the country’s leading trading houses (Askari Enterprises; Askari Enterprises). Its stated vision is to be the most progressive and trusted name in military and general trading (Askari Enterprises).
The head office is located on the 6th Floor, AWT Plaza, The Mall Road, Saddar, Rawalpindi — the same building that houses AWT’s headquarters and several sister Askari companies (ZoomInfo; Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Trade Directory).
Publicly available professional records identify Mr. Zulfiqar Sadiq as Chief Executive Officer of Askari Enterprises since June 2025; he is a retired Pakistan Army officer who previously served as Director, Supply Chain Management, Pakistan Army (LinkedIn). As with other AWT units, overall strategic and financial control rests with AWT’s own governing Committee of Administration (Pakistan Today).
2. Operations and Facilities
AE is a trading and procurement house rather than a manufacturer. It does not operate production plants; its activity is centered on a single office within AWT Plaza, Rawalpindi, from which it conducts defense procurement and general commodity trading (ZoomInfo; Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Trade Directory).
Its core operations fall into military/defense trading and general trading, including registered activity across land, sea and air procurement categories for the armed forces, government and private-sector clients (Askari Enterprises). AE also facilitates the import and export of defense-related and general goods and maintains a network of local and international suppliers and principals (Askari Enterprises).
Independent secondary reporting on the company’s internal structure describes AE as organized around a small number of functional departments — General Trading (including a Coal Trading desk), Defense Procurement, and Finance — each reporting to the CEO; an earlier Bonded Warehouse department was discontinued. This account also notes that AE’s premises and staffing are modest relative to larger AWT manufacturing subsidiaries, and that most personnel are retired armed forces officers supplemented by civilian staff outsourced through AWT; this description should be treated as unofficial secondary material rather than a company disclosure (company operations report, f-cdn). AE is listed by other public sources among the roughly 16–17 commercial projects and units administered by AWT (DAWN; Defence Street).
No production capacity, land holding, or other quantified operating-scale metric was found in current public sources, consistent with AE’s role as a trading and services entity rather than an industrial producer.
3. Products or Services
AE does not trade a fixed product line; instead it participates in tenders and trading opportunities across several categories as they arise. Publicly listed business sectors and offerings include (Askari Enterprises):
- Defense and military trading: weapons, ammunition, military vehicles, high-altitude equipment, bomb-disposal equipment, tents, protective clothing and bullet-proof jackets.
- General trading and commodities: rice, sugar, coal, and other bulk commodities, typically sourced through open tenders.
- Automotive: land, sea and air transaction support for defense and government clients, including trucks and specialized vehicle fabrication such as ambulances.
- Engineering, technology and IT trading.
- Health, medical and pharmaceutical trading, including hospital equipment and research equipment.
- Venture capital investments and general merchandise and supplies trading.
AE also facilitates defense-related import/export and intelligence-sector procurement on behalf of Pakistani defense, police and government organizations, and has represented itself as having international partners and principals across these categories (Askari Enterprises). All activity is carried out under the Askari Enterprises name; no separate consumer-facing sub-brands were identified.
4. Financials
Askari Enterprises is a privately held subsidiary of AWT and does not appear to publish a standalone annual report or audited financial statements for public access. No current gross revenue, after-tax earnings, or profit-margin figures for AE were located in the public sources reviewed for this profile.
| Metric | Most recent year | One year prior | Year-over-year comparison |
| Gross revenue | Not publicly disclosed | Not publicly disclosed | No public standalone figures available |
| After-tax earnings | Not publicly disclosed | Not publicly disclosed | No public standalone figures available |
| Profit margin | Not publicly disclosed | Not publicly disclosed | Cannot be calculated without verified figures |
AWT’s group-level financial disclosures (for example, in the audited statements of listed AWT-linked companies) list AE as a related party but do not break out its standalone revenue or profit (Scribd, Askari Life Assurance financial statements). Consistent with the absence of a public filing requirement for wholly owned private subsidiaries, this profile reports the lack of disclosed figures as a factual limitation rather than an estimate.
5. Future Plans
No current official statement of expansion, investment, or strategic plans specific to Askari Enterprises was located in the public sources reviewed. AE’s strategic direction continues to be set within AWT’s broader trading and procurement portfolio, and its financing needs are met through AWT as required (Askari Enterprises).
At the wider AWT/Fauji Foundation group level, 2026 has seen active portfolio restructuring — for instance, the approved transfer of controlling stakes in Askari General Insurance and Askari Life Assurance from AWT to Fauji Foundation — indicating that the two military-welfare organizations continue to reposition shareholdings across their affiliated companies (Pakistan Today). No such transaction involving Askari Enterprises specifically has been identified, and any more specific statement on AE’s individual future plans would be speculative absent a current official filing or company announcement.
